We support you throughout the entire process, from your first enquiry to the finished record.
How vinyl pressing works
Pressing vinyl records doesn’t have to be complicated. We have simplified the process into five easy steps:
1. Choose your format & quantity
2. Submit your audio and artwork
3. We send you a digital proof
4. Approve the proof & production begins
5. Your finished vinyl records are delivered to you

Frequently asked questions about vinyl pressing
How much does it cost to press vinyl at DiscRepublic?
The price of pressing vinyl at DiscRepublic depends on the format you choose, the type of sleeve you want and the quantity you order. Our lowest unit price starts from 14,40 € per copy for an order of 100 copies. We offer several different packages, including:
12″ Vinyl Packages
12″ Vinyl + sleeve: 14,40 € per copy
12″ Vinyl + gatefold sleeve: 17,80 € per copy
2x 12″ Vinyl + gatefold sleeve (double vinyl): 27,90 € per copy
10″ & 7″ Vinyl Packages
10″ Vinyl + sleeve: 14,00 € per copy
7″ Vinyl + sleeve: 13,00 € per copy
What audio quality is required for vinyl pressing?
For the best sound quality, we recommend submitting uncompressed WAV files at 48 kHz, 24-bit. Avoid MP3 and other compressed audio formats.
How much music fits on a vinyl record?
12” LP (33⅓ RPM): approx. 23 minutes per side
12” Maxi (45 RPM): approx. 12 minutes per side
7” EP (33⅓ RPM): approx. 6:40 minutes per side
7” single (45 RPM): approx. 5 minutes per side
The dynamics and volume of the audio affect the exact playing time.
How long is the delivery time?
Approximately 8–10 weeks from the print proof approval. We recommend allowing at least an additional 4 weeks before your planned release date.
Can I have vinyl pressed in colour?
Yes! We offer a wide range of coloured and transparent vinyl options for a small additional cost. Contact us and we will be happy to send you colour samples.
What is the minimum quantity I can order?
At DiscRepublic, you can order vinyl in quantities from just 100 copies. This applies to all our formats – 12”, 10” and 7”.
What do I need to submit for vinyl pressing?
To start a vinyl production, we need:
● Audio files in 48 kHz, 24-bit (WAV)
● Artwork for the sleeve (PDF with the correct print dimensions)
● Information about your preferred format, quantity, colour, etc.
Do you offer test pressings?
Yes, you can order test pressings before the full production starts. This is a good way to ensure that the audio and mastering are working optimally before the full run is pressed.
Can you help with the artwork?
Absolutely! Our graphic designers have extensive experience creating professional-looking sleeves and gatefolds. You can either submit your own artwork or have us help you create something from scratch.
Do you also offer CD pressing?
Yes, we also offer professional CD pressing and manufacturing. This is ideal if you want to combine your vinyl release with a more traditional format, for example for tours, merchandise or online record sales.

Do you also produce and print cassette tapes?
Yes, at Skivtryck you can also produce and print cassette tapes. This is a popular format among collectors and within certain music genres, particularly lo-fi, punk, synth and retro-inspired music. You can choose from different colours, labels and cases.
